Sacramento area most likely to apply for Commission

A new Rose Institute analysis shows that voters in the Sacramento area are the most likely to apply (so far) for service on California’s new Independent Redistricting Commission. The map below shows the percentage of each county’s registered voters who have applied and been deemed “tentatively eligible” for the Commission.

New Census numbers show CA avoids losing a seat – for now

CA releases revised Commission Selection regulations

This evening the California State Auditor released revised regulations governing the selection process for California’s 2011 Independent Redistricting Commission.

Draft California Redistricting Commission application posted

The California State Auditor has posted a draft Commission application form online. Proposition 11, which created the Redistricting Commission to handle redistricting the state’s Legislative and Board of Equalization districts  in 2011, assigned the application and initial selection process to the State Auditor’s office.
